Personal Trainers view on SoloStrength FUSION "one stop shop" bodyweight exercise gym

WE LOVE BODYWEIGHT EXERCISE!  -  So do most Personal Training and Fitness Professionals.

WHY?
It's Fast, hassle free, and does a GREAT job of keeping us fit!

I recently asked a personal trainer why he was such a fan of the  SoloStrength FUSION system?
This is what the reply was:

It would be the best option for me because it is so functional. It brings you back to the most basic exercises that are crucial for strength, muscle, and flexibility development in people of all ages and fitness levels. Exercises can be modified  depending on someone's level of strength and fitness. Any regimen can be adapted for difficulty and progressions with stability and balance equipment, so it encompasses every section of the population, whether they are professional athletes or individuals just looking to get in shape and stay active. The trend in fitness is completely re-shifting toward its origin, when bodyweight exercises were universal. People are looking to get lean, lose weight, gain functional strength to improve their lives and sustain their health and longevity! The Solo-Strength does all of these things with minimal time commitment and stress on your body. It is a total body gym, only your body is the gym. Other options are a lot more expensive, geared towards bodybuilders, inefficient with space, focus on certain sections of the body, and do not promote the basic functional movements and flexibility that everyone needs.

I don't think I could say it better myself.
Thanks for the feedback Bogdan.  Looking forward to sharing SoloStrength with more trainers and bodyweight exercise enthusiasts soon!

repost: inspiration for keeping bodyfit

For me, using bodyweight exercise to stay fit, is summed up well by this post. The inspiration of how the body can freely move when it can handle it's own weight in any type of movement, is as described below by Zuzana "ultimate freedom". We call it SoloStrength.

Inspiring Fitness Video: How to Hollowback
Posted by Zuzana - BodyRock.Tv in All Videos, Diet and Nutrition, New Rock Your Body workout, fitness tips on 06 18th, 2009 | 4 responses

People have been asking me, how I keep my self motivated constantly and what inspires me, so I decided to post everything that inspires and motivates me here on BodyRock.tv

I am really interested in gymnastics and body weight drills so when I found this video on youtube, I liked it so much that I had to share it. These body weight drills require incredible strength, flexibility and not to mention balance and agility. Being able to handle your own bodyweight in any situation to me is like some kind of ultimate freedom that goes hand in hand with being strong, fit and healthy. The opposite of this feeling is having the sense that you are trapped in your own body. Movements are sluggesh, the body feels heavy, joints are stiff and there is almost a constant state of discomfort - not the way I would choose to live.

Enjoy this video and let me know what you think.

Best,

Zuzana.

Vernis Blair; Big Boy takes on the SoloStrength Total Bodyweight Exercise Program!

Vernis from Higher Level Fitness was enticed to take on the SoloStrength total bodyweight exercise challenge...we went hard...a little too hard maybe :) I think he was surprised and we didn't quite get through the workout!

He and his partner May Blaiz ( https://twitter.com/mayblaizink) put SoloStrength FUSE into their new gym facility (Higher Level Fitness)...and we are looking forward to doing more work with them!

Suspension training and bodyweight exercise was made popular with the Navy SEAL inspired training and the great benefits it brings in simplicity and incredible fitness. The TRX is a good system limited by needing an anchor point, and of course, patience to manage all the strapping adjustments! While you can use the TRX system with SoloStrength FUSE to add even more versatility, we haven't really seen a need for it (since you can do everything and more with the FUSE) . We are getting great feedback from people using the total body exercises and generally they love the small footprint, overall design, and versatility that the FUSE offers. Ideal for home use or personal training studios...use SoloStrength to power your high performance lifestyle! Visit us at www.solostrength.com for more information on how to get yours today!

See what happens when Vernis goes hard in the video below!

Great to connect with some local trainers and get feedback!

Today I had the great pleasure of sitting with Dan Webster of Titanium Fitness.  Dan has been a SoloStrength supporter since the start and has helped us to reach a greater number of people for feedback and review of SoloStrength through its early developmental stages.  Many thanks to Dan!

I have to take a moment to share that of all the trainers I know, Dan is one of the most genuine, educated and sincere personalities I have met.  That isn't to say I haven't met loads of great people in the industy, it's just that he's that good.  If you are Vancouver area based, and are looking for a great trainer for both 1on1 and bootcamp, you would do yourself a favour by calling him.

We discussed our usual updates about the industry, status of SoloStrength development and teaming agreements, and developed a few interesting concepts for marketing I am really excited about.  More to come on these in a few days.  What's for certain, is that bodyweight exercise is the base of all sustainable life long fitness programs, and we are proud to have such an exciting tool to offer which supports it with more style and simplicity than anything else available.

Leaving comment:  "lifestyle is made up of two parts...one of them you design"

Bodyweight Exercise IS SoloStrength

Have you seen the SoloStrength system? I'm starting to think we should consider calling it the Bodyweight Exercises home gym! Thank you for the tremendous support and feedback! We are particularly happy to hear that not only are people enjoying it in their home gyms, but the amount of personal trainers that are using the SoloStrength bodyweight exercises and the versatile SoloStrength FUSE fitness equipment with their clients! Most are using it almost exclusively as their all-in-one station and adding the suggested accessories for more challenging movements and exercises. We have some exciting video interviews with some local trainers coming in the next few days! Until then, live strong every day fitness with SoloStrength!

Another SoloStrength installation! (alongside Technogym)

We recently had an installation at the beautiful Langley Rec Centre, which otherwise was primarily Technogym equipment otherwise.  We love Technogym equipment, and think our products well compliment each other. We hope to work with them one day to help us reach our international market that is very challenging as a smaller company right now!  This isn't the first time we have come across Technogym equipment in facilities where we have installed our SoloStrength FUSE bodyweight circuit training and fitness exercise system.  Trainers LOVE it, they can do most of the work they want to do with clients on our system alone, and keeps their activity client centered rather than running around between stations.   We get fantastic feedback by trainers and home users alike, and we appreciate it all!  Thankyou!  Below is a photo of one of the trainers getting familiar with their new piece, she was SO excited.  Now I love SoloStrength, because I know what can be done with it, and how a person feels using it, but to see others as excited as I am (and even more sometimes!), is really wonderful and encouraging.  Thank you for your orders, support, keep the use ideas rolling in and all feedback is appreciated!  We have made some small modifications on our Gen.2 version which we are taking orders on now!  Put the best all in one bodyweight exercise and bodyweight fitness system on your list today!  visit us at www.solostrength.com to put in your order or call 604.818.6225 with any questions!

The fitness approach that works everyday...

HI Everyone!
I'm going to start this off by being really direct about what we are here to do, and what we are offering. "WE" is me really, and a whole lot of great people that I get to work with from time to time, and associate with in the fitness/health/wellness industry.

I developed the SoloStrength FUSE (that's a shorty way of saying Fitness Utility for Strength and Energy), to utilize as a very versatile tool for bodyweight exercises and stretching programs (our basic versions we call the SoloStrength Lifestyle Programs). Little did I know, that people would be able to have so much FUN with it, but then again, movement, and fitness activity is fun by nature, so I guess it makes sense that kids take to it as much as adults, and it's simple enough that everyone can really enjoy it.

That was really the goal in designing and developing SoloStrength; To provide a simple to use, versatile, family and beginner friendly system, that could be taken to extremely challenging levels. I believe we have achieved that goal, and when we see people enjoying SoloStrength, I'm certain we did.

Some people look at SoloStrength, and suggest that it's quite big, or that it doesn't do very much (bells and whistles). I like to point out that for an "all-in-one" system, its the smallest option available, it fits in standard ceiling heights (and who uses vertical space anyway?), and it takes less than 3.5' square floorspace when not in use. One trainer that was on SoloStrength recently made the statement that "it's the swiss army knife of fitness equipment...there isn't anything you can't do with it!".  We tend to agree ;)  Additionally, our system takes the least floor space of any full body system and we believe is the best, most versatile, best value home gym system on the market; and it looks great too!

We stand behind it with a lifetime warranty (limited) on our product (for consumer home use), and 5 years for commercial applications.

The premise behind the approach we took, is quite logical really. Simplicity. There are three main things that restrict people's success in achieving and MAINTAINING fitness for longer periods of time (than the usual roller coaster that most people experience). I would like to illustrate these below.
1. Barriers to start (convenience, preparation, scheduling).
2. Time required to achieve desired state (absolute least time using SoloStrength).
3. Enjoyment and results. (results are fun, feeling energized, connected and strong is FUN).

What we want to do is show you with this site, everyday people (that's EVER BODY) beginners, trainers, athletes, working professionals, geeks, parents, bodybuilders, ...how ever you choose to live, can utilize the SoloStrength FUSE system, for a great addition to your life, to support incredibly powerful health and vibrant active living.  The lifestyle you want is your choice, but SoloStrength will support it, and after you use it the first time, you won't want to be without it.  That's our confidence, and it comes from the people who use it, buy it, and enjoy...living with SoloStrength.  Post your comments, questions, and your favourite ways of living a healthy active lifestyle, and hope to talk to you soon!

SoloStrength in Elements for Living

SoloStrength BLOG in ELEMENTS FOR LIVING

Here at elements living, we love taking our work home with us…mostly because our work is creating a healthy, fit lifestyle! And if you’re like us, then you’re definitely taking your fitness outside of the gym, too. (No, we’re not talking about those sweaty yoga mats!)

But how many times have you tripped over that rowing machine on your way to the bathroom? Do you even remember how to work the contraption you bought on QVC last month? Toss it.

For a home fitness machine that’s easy on the eyes and easily fits into your home or studio (not to mention also packs a fitness wallop), SoloStrength’s FUSE is the way to go.

Designed by award-winning industrial designer Paul Conder and consisting of a platform, support bar, and “Solo Comfort Grip Bar”, the FUSE breaks your fitness routine down to an almost Zen simplicity: by adjusting the grip bar and changing your exercise position, you can create a variety of movements that work almost every single muscle group.

Programs only take about 20 minutes and are suitable for novice to expert levels. In fact, the whole family can use the FUSE for an all-in-one system to strengthen and tone muscles.

As the company motto states: “One Life, One Body, One Bar. It’s all you need.” Does it get any simpler than that?

  1. Kasia Says:

I wish I had more time to commit myself to fitness more regularly. In today’s world we are all so incredibly busy with the hussle and bustle of life, It seems that keeping fit is almost a privelage.
SoloStrength however has made everyday fitness more attainable due to the fact that it takes such a short time. It doesn’t require changing endless cables, weights and moving stations entirely to work on a different muscle group. It stays in one place and you stay in one place, period. It’s quick, easy and user friendly which intreages even the not so ‘keen” on fitness individual. Every time you have a workout on it…..a very quick workout I must add, you will ask yourself why you don’t do this more often….I know I do every time!

  2. Dan Webster Says:

Is SoloStrength the best home fitness system around? Maybe…if you like a workout that is convenient and works your whole body in a short period of time. Maybe…if you think a piece of exercise equipment should look great wherever you put it and do more than just hold your wet laundry. Maybe…if you are smart enough to realize that real exercises like chin-ups, push-ups and squats work better than most exercises out there. However, if you would prefer to spend 2 hours at the gym, doing 4 different kinds of biceps curls with one foot on a wobbly board and the other on a BOZO ball, then this is not the product for you.

  3. Nancy Says:

SoloStrength has become a great addition to my clients workouts. Simple things can be deceiving but extremely effective. That’s what SoloStrength is all about. Thanks Micheal for a wonderful product! ;-)

  4. Dan Webster Says:

The SoloStrength FUSE is truly a gym quality home fitness product. At our gym it is constantly being used by clients and trainers. I’m actually a little frustrated because I’d like to use it more but it’s always being used :)

  5. Dan Says:

I can’t say if the SoloStrength is the best home fitness system but I can say it holds it’s own in a fully equiped gym. The trainers and clients can’t get enough of the FUSE. It looks great. It’s smooth functioning allows for quick and easy transitions from one exercise to the next. I haven’t seen another piece of home equipment that has all the features and clean lines the SoloStrength FUSE has. In fact I’m quite frustrated because I haven’t been able to use it as much as I’d like to because it is always occupied ;)

  6. Rasheed Says:

Being a fit person, I remember the first time I jumped on the Solo thinking to myself how intense of a workout can I get from this? Once I was half way through the 15min routine that was given to me, sweat was dripping down my forehead and I couldn’t believe how great of a whole body workout I got. I really like the sleak sexy look of the Solo and the fact that you can easily tailor the Solo workout for people of any age or lifestyle.

  7. Jennifer Says:

Solostrength is a exciting new fitness device that allows me to gain flexiblity while targeting specific “problem areas”. It was fun to use and easy to learn the different exercises.

  8. Cecile Says:

    September 27,2007
I could not believe the incredible feeling that I had after a guided work out with SOLO. I used all my muscles and felt them firming. My body craved for more. I can hardly wait to get my own SOLO in my home so I can exercise every day on it. The convenience of a home based system like this is exciting and valuable to those of us who have limited extra hours in a day. As a senior I can see the value of steady daily firming exercises and steady progressive movments that I can stage based on my own tolerance and using my own weight resistance. Thank you Michael please get this product here soon.

  9. Dan Says:

The first time I saw the SoloStrength FUSE I really liked it. The first time I used it, I fell in love with it.

Unless you’ve been asleep for the last few years, you know that bodyweight training is growing in popularity every day. One of the benefits of bodyweight training is that in most cases all you need is, well, your body. However, try doing a chin-up without a bar. And what about people who can’t do push-ups from a horizontal position or others who need support when performing squats. This is where the SoloStrength FUSE comes in. It allows everyone to enjoy the benefits of bodyweight training. As as a fitness professional, I have personally used the SoloStrength FUSE with clients in their 70s with some physical limitations as well as with clients in their 20s preparing for athletic events. It’s versatility is not always evident at first glance but, once you use it, you see the possibilities for it’s use are endless.

To compare the SoloStrength FUSE to a standard chin-up bar is like comparing a Ferrari to a little red wagon. Sure, the Ferrari and the wagon are both red with four wheels, but that doesn’t mean they’re the same. And yes you can do chin-ups on the SoloStrength FUSE or a standard chin-up bar, but the fact you can do endless variations of hundreds of exercises on the FUSE makes it obvious it’s not just a chin-up bar.
